For folks back home, Big Day Out is like Reading festival but a lot less muddy and only 1 day.
Strangely lots of British bands were about, Denise and I saw Lilly Allen, The Streets, Muse, Kasabian and Hot Chip as well as the odd American - Killers were excellent!

Sun was beating down and was a fight to get from stage to stage; but was great day, with and without the green bearded 'smile' guy!

Finished early; but in style with John Butler Trio and a bit of Shapeshifter before made it back to town on the last 22.30 bus.

Heathrow to Singapore fligt all good. Seats at back of plane with only two a row was definitely a good shout - ta Lisa
Change over at Singapore was quick, only enough time to freshen up and walk over before boarded for second leg!
Singapore - Auckland okay flight, although veggie option probably worth avoiding (was vegan), remember to take cereal bars next time!
Arrived Auckland 11pm and learnt first lesson - taxi's rip you off here - $70 from airport to SkyCity, ouch!

Straight to sleep and wait and see what jet lag brings in the morning
